From the desk of Aaron T. Bacon:
As you may have heard on the news this evening, the Governor of California declared Emergency Order N-33-20, which is a ‘Stay at Home’ order for the entire State of California. (see attached)
This order will go into effect at midnight this evening and there is no designated end to the Order at this time. THIS ORDER DOES NOT APPLY TO ATCO.
According to the Order the Governor has identified 16 sectors that must remain open during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Food and Agriculture Sectors are to remain open during this Crisis and are identified as “imperative during the response to COVID-19 ….essential workers (are) needed to maintain the services and functions Americans depend on .. and continue operations.”
As a Registered California Food facility the Aaron Thomas Company has a special responsibility to remain in operation and continue with food manufacturing and packaging.
As this is an ever-changing situation and we will keep you informed as the situation develops. We will have more tomorrow as well.
We have been preparing for COVID-19 over the past 8 weeks (as many of you know my wife and I helped coordinate the evacuation of our friends out of Wuhan during Chinese New Year). We have taken the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our workers and your products. We will be posting our last 8 weeks of COVID-19 preparation on our website as well as any resource information we have to help educate and provide leadership as we deal with this national emergency.
Our main priority is to ensure the safety of our employees and our Customers’ products while continuing to manufacture and package food and nutritional supplement products.
Thank you for your support, and know we will do whatever we can to help during this time of State and National emergency.
Please feel free to reach out for as we learn more and the situation develops.
